An accomplished listee, Dr. Pennington celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Dr. Pennington has performed as a singer and frequent soloist with the Cantate Chamber Singers, and in addition has provided her expertise to the group as a board member, treasurer, and gala chair. In her local community, Dr. Pennington is a member of A Musical Heart, which performs professional-caliber music for hospice patients, and serves as a member of the church growth committee at St. John's Episcopal Church, Lafayette Square.

Prior to embarking upon her professional journey, Dr. Pennington pursued a formal education at the University of Georgia, from which she attained a Bachelor of Science in 1985. Following this accomplishment, she attended the University of Florida, where she earned a Master of Science in 1988, after which she graduated from Emory University with a Doctor of Philosophy in 1993. Since concluding her academic efforts, Dr. Pennington has authored multiple articles in her area of expertise in the national meetings proceedings for the Mathematical Association of America and the American Statistical Association.
