Dr. Golomb is renowned as a neurologist with more than 40 years of experience in cognitive neurology and memory research. He initially pursued an education at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in 1979. He subsequently earned a Doctor of Medicine from New York University in 1985. Moreover, Dr. Golomb is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

From 1985 to 1989, Dr. Golomb completed an internship in psychiatry and a residency in neurology at the New York University Medical Center. He was additionally active as a fellow in neuroimaging at New York University Medical Center from 1989 to 1990, at which point he joined the staff of Bellevue Hospital Center and NYU Langone Medical Center. Dr. Golomb has been an assistant professor of neurology and psychiatry at the New York University School of Medicine since 1997.

Dr. Golomb formerly served as a research physician at Brookhaven National Laboratories. He is currently the director of the NYU Adult Hydrocephalus Program, and has served as a member of the advisory board of the Hydrocephalus Association since 2016. Notably, his research has focused on radiological characteristics of normal pressure hydrocephalus and the relationships between hippocampal formation and memory. Beyond his primary responsibilities in the field, Dr. Golomb is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Neurology.
