Providing personal insurance such as auto, homeowners and boat, as well as various types of business insurance and life and health insurance, the agency also offers scrap metal insurance, which was created for the recycling industry.

Actively engaged with various civic organizations, Mr. Watson has remained active on the board of trustees of his former high school, the Asheville School, since 1997, during which he formerly served on the Alumni Council. In years past, he has contributed his time and expertise as the president of the Gaston County Merchants Association, the Schiele Museum of Natural History and Planetarium Inc., the Gastonia East Rotary Club and Gaston Skills Inc. Mr. Watson has also worked in various capacities with the United Way of Gaston County, the Salvation Army Boys Club, the Gaston Day School, the Gaston County Chamber of Commerce and with several Gastonia banks.
After graduating from high school, Mr. Watson attended the University of North Carolina, from which he attained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1963. He subsequently matriculated at the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce of the University of Pennsylvania, where he received a Master of Business Administration in insurance in 1965. Mr. Watson also holds a risk management diploma and is a charted property-casualty underwriter.
Aligned with several industry-related organizations, Mr. Watson is a member of the Professional Insurance Agents, the Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina and the American Institute of Property and Liability Underwriters. He is also a life member of the Society of Certified Professional Insurance Agents of the Carolinas and the Insurance Firemark Society of the Professional Insurance Agents. In recognition of his accomplishments in the field, Mr. Watson most notably received the Agent of the Year Award by the Old Mutual Agents Association during a national convention. Other awards to his credit have included being named as the Boss of the Year by the Gastonia Association of Insurance Women, Boss of the Year by the Gaston-Cleveland Association of Insurance Women, Professional Agent of the Year by the Professional Insurance Agents of America and Carolina Agent of the Year by the Certified Professional Insurance Agent. Additionally, Mr. Watson received a Paul Harris Fellow from the Gastonia East Rotary Club.
A life-long member of First Presbyterian Church of Gastonia, NC Watson has served as a deacon, elder, and, since the 1970's, a choir member. Every recognition has been with the aid and support of family, friends, and business associates.
