Dr. Moon is the current president and chief executive officer of Edunix Corp., an educational company that specializes in embedded software, since 2013. Educated as an electronic engineer, he first worked in academia when he joined his alma mater, Ajou University, as a part-time lecturer in the department of electronic engineering. Teaching on campus for six years, he also taught at Kookie University as an adjunct professor in the department of information and communication, Bucheon University as a full-time lecturer in the department of computer control and Sungkyunkwan University as an adjunct professor in the department of computer science. Additionally, Dr. Moon was a senior researcher at the Korea Institute of Aids to Navigation during 2010 and was president of EduTech between 2011 and 2013.
Born in Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, Dr. Moon attended college locally. He notably has held a Doctor of Philosophy in electronic engineering from Ajou University since 2008.
Playing an instrumental role in the field of education his entire career, Dr. Moon has always strived for excellence. He has been honored with multiple awards in recognition of his teachings, including a 2015 Excellence Instructor Award from GBSA, a 2011 Star Instructor Award and a 2011 Best Instructor Award from WST. He also received a 2011 Lifetime Achievement Award from MDS Academy and, more recently, was honored with an Appreciation Plaque from Samsung Electronics Software Institute in 2017.
