He has been responsible for conducting a remarkable amount of research on project planning and control, smart cities, innovation ecosystems, roadmapping and implementation action planning, and more. As a leading authority in his field, Dr. Kazi has notably provided his expertise as a consultant for the European Commission in Brussels since 2001, an adjunct professor at the Hanken School of Economics in Helsinki, Finland, since 2008 and a distinguished adjunct professor at the Asian Institute of Technology since 2015.
Dr. Kazi received a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering at Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey, in 1992. He later obtained both a Master of Science and a Doctor of Engineering in construction engineering and management at the Asian Institute of Technology in 1996 and 2004, respectively. Eminently qualified in his field, he has earned certification as a civil engineer in Ankara in 1993. The author and editor of several books, Dr. Kazi published "Hands-On Knowledge Co-Creation and Sharing: Practical Methods and Techniques" in collaboration with L. Wohlfart and P. Wolf through KnowledgeBoard at the VTT Technical Research Centre and Fraunhofer IRB Verlag in 2007. He also published several other books on knowledge management, systemic innovation, construction information technology and other relevant areas.
