Shirley Ann "Shane" Yelverton was selected for inclusion in the 18th edition of Who's Who of American Women.

With more than 50 years of experience to her credit, Ms. Yelverton is currently retired, having excelled as a forensic researcher and an accountant with Allied Instrument Co. Inc. from 2017 to 2019. Prior to this appointment, she worked for Fluor Engineering as a project administrative assistant, an engineering technician and a document and data control specialist between 2005 and 2016. Recruited as an administrative assistant and a document control technician for Lyondell-Citgo Refining, now Houston Refining, in 2004, she further flourished as a project administrative assistant and an office manager for Applied Utility Systems Inc. in 2003. Ms. Yelverton provided her wealth of knowledge to Enron Engineering as a project administrative assistant from 1998 to 2002, during which time she obtained a Bachelor of Business Management from LeTourneau University with a 3.95 GPA. In addition to these accomplishments, Ms. Yelverton earned her certifications as a professional secretary and an administrative professional.

Holding the role of an engineering administrative assistant for British Gas from 1992 to 1994, Ms. Yelverton changed careers from her role with Datcom Resources Inc. as a user support analyst from 1990 to 1991. Furthermore, she thrived as a conversion coordinator and trainer for Amicus Curiae Inc. from 1989 to 1990, a paralegal and billing secretary for Boswell & Hallmark PC from 1987 to 1988, and a paralegal and billing administrator for Littleton & Scherbarth from 1986 to 1987. She earned a paralegal assistant certificate in 1986.

Previously, she served as an operations support officer and a system analyst for First Texas Savings in Houston from 1983 to 1985. Between 1978 and 1982, Ms. Yelverton dedicated her time and resources to Bank of the Southwest as an automated customer services consultant then was promoted to Operations Officer.

Moreover, Ms. Yelverton held the post of an automated customer services consultant for Intefirst from 1976 to 1978. From 1973 to 1976, she had advanced in her career with Allied Bank Limited as the head bookkeeper. She began her career with First City National Bank as an operations clerk and an automated customer services consultant from 1970 to 1973.

Beyond her responsibilities within the field, Ms. Yelverton has participated in numerous endeavors outside of her professional circles. She has contributed to the A.D. Players Christian Theatre in Houston as a volunteer for 12 years. She also was a church information center volunteer, a home group assistant and a song leader from 1992 to 1995. Additionally, she found success as the elder and a secretary-treasurer for the Church of the Good Shepherd from 1988 to 1991. A member of the Association for Talent Development, Ms. Yelverton has been affiliated with various organizations in relation to her areas of expertise, including the National Association of Bank Women as a committee chairman in 1982 and the Allied Bank Club as an entertainment committee chairman and a First City Bank reporter between 1972 and 1973.

In light of her exceptional undertakings, Ms. Yelverton has accrued several accolades throughout her impressive career. Recognized with a Spotlight Award, she was honored with a Value Awareness Award from Fluor Engineering for saving hundreds of thousands of dollars, a Gold Coin Award from Enron Engineering, a Personal Best Award. Likewise, she was presented with a Certificate of Recognition for Demonstrating Commitment to Excellence, Dedication, and Team Spirit and a Certificate of Academic Achievement from LeTourneau University. Notably, Ms. Yelverton was selected for inclusion in the 18th edition of Who's Who of American Women.

Encouraged by her teacher she placed in Business Speaking, Job Interview and Notebook. She went on to place in Job Interview in Area which allowed her to be at State to help accept the award for Best in State. Her teacher taught Distributive Education for 40 years. Only one other year did they win Best in State. Always valuing the importance of her family, she fondly recalls her tenure with Enron and Fluor Engineering, at which point she attained the majority of her prestigious awards. Mentored by Gavin Gaul, Ms. Yelverton's quote and picture was included in Newsweek's article on the fall of Enron. Additionally, she was on radio and quoted in the newspaper. Ms. Yelverton hopes to continue enjoying her well-deserved retirement while cementing her legacy in her diverse industries in the years to come.
