Rose Pellatt is renowned as a retired public administrator and institutional analyst celebrating four decades of expertise in her field.

Ms. Pellatt is renowned as a retired public administrator and institutional analyst celebrating four decades of expertise in her field. She initially pursued an education at Hunter College from 1961 to 1962 before departing to start a family. Subsequently, Ms. Pellatt and her husband owned and operated a number of businesses, including the River Road Service Station and Tryon Glass & Mirror until his passing in the 1980s, at which point she returned to academia to begin studying public administration.

From 1983 to 1984, Ms. Pellatt worked as an administrative assistant at the Early Education Center in Highland, New York. In 1985, she obtained an Associate of Applied Sciences at Isothermal Community College. She continued her studies at the University of South Carolina, earning a Bachelor of Science in 1986 and a Master of Public Administration in 1994. Furthermore, Ms. Pellatt completed a Graduate Certificate in Institutional Research at Florida State University.

Through 1986, Ms. Pellatt worked as Scheduler for the successful Patterson for Congress campaign in Greenville, Spartanburg and Union counties of South Carolina. She was appointed a Constituent Liaison in the Spartanburg district office of the 4th (SC) District of the United States House of Representatives where she served for six years. Each year, Ms. Pellatt coordinated the Congressional Classroom, a business-sponsored, educational program in Washington D.C that provided in-depth briefings from Congress, Executive Agencies, and Supreme Court Justice for one student from each high school in the 4th Congressional district. Ms. Pellatt cites this tenure as the highlight of her career. After leaving this appointment, Ms. Pellatt served as Bookkeeper with The Salvation Army in Spartanburg from 1994 to 1996, and later held the position of Director of Institutional Effectiveness at Spartanburg Community College until her retirement in 2011. Not quite ready to leave the workforce, Ms. Pellatt secured the position of Institutional Researcher at Isothermal Community College, her alma mater, until 2015.

Ms. Pellatt is a 1990 graduate of Spartanburg Leadership. She contributes as a volunteer for various political organizations including the Spartanburg Democratic Party and the League of Women Voters (LWV) where she served on a team to establish VOTE 411 in Spartanburg, an online program established by the National LWV which enables voters to identify candidates for office who will appear on the ballot. In addition to political advocacy, she was affiliated with the American Diabetes Association, whose Spartanburg Chapter designated her their 1988 Member of the Year. For five years, she chaired the Spartanburg Century Circuit, a bike-ride to support the American Diabetes Association and co-sponsored by the Spartanburg Free Wheelers. In her well-deserved retirement, Ms. Pellatt enjoys reading, cooking, and water aerobics and is an accomplished quilter.
