Theodore Stockmon has been Inducted into the Prestigious Marquis Who's Who Biographical Registry

Mr. Stockmon thrives as a school resource officer with the North Haven Police Department

NORTH HAVEN, CT, April 23, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Theodore Stockmon has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Stockmon is renowned as a law enforcement officer with more than 30 years of service to the town of North Haven. He attributes his success to his passion for serving others, his desire to be a pillar of the community, and the guidance of his mentor, Captain Hayes Gibson. Prior to embarking upon his professional path, Mr. Stockmon obtained an Associate of Science in business administration from Middlesex Community College.

From 1977 to 1986, Mr. Stockmon began his career as the assistant cash department head for Stop & Shop Grocery Stores, for which he developed an expertise for detecting and stopping retail crimes. From 1985 to 1986, he worked as a tow truck operator of Connecticut AAA Motor Club, and shifted the focus of his career toward law enforcement as a volunteer auxiliary trooper. Subsequently volunteering as a way to decide whether to pursue a full-time career in law enforcement, Mr. Stockman further flourished in a part-time capacity as an officer for another town before being hired by the North Haven Police Department in 1986.

Mr. Stockmon served the community of North Haven as a police officer from 1986 until 2018, at which point he accepted a position as a school resource officer. He takes his responsibilities as a school resource officer very seriously, and treats each student with the same care and respect with which he would treat his own children. The recipient of a DWI Enforcement Award, Mr. Stockmon accrued a career total of 24 commendations for his work in law enforcement, mainly for burglary and armed robbery apprehensions.

Mr. Stockmon remains affiliated as a member of the executive board of his local historical society, with which he is noted for his expertise in local police history and historical brickmaking. Likewise, while a patrol officer he volunteered his time as a speaker and a workshop presenter on strategies to help senior citizens avoid becoming the victims of crimes. While he is proud of his career accomplishments, Mr. Stockmon notes that his greatest joy is his three children, who have grown up to work in education, cybersecurity and the United States Coast Guard.
