Jacqueline McKennie Celebrated for Dedication to the Military

Mrs. McKennie retired from the military after many years to pursue a career in business



    FAYETTEVILLE, GA, May 08, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jacqueline McKennie has been included in Marquis Who's Who. After dedicating many years of her life to the U.S. Army (28 ½ yrs), Mrs. McKennie retired in January 2009 and established her own travel business, which is currently in its third year of operation. Prior to founding her company, she worked as the U.S. Department of Defense's Yellow Ribbon Program Specialist for A-Team Solutions LLC. Between 2011 and 2014, in which Mrs. McKennie promoted the well-being of National Guard and Army Reserve members, as well as their families and communities, by connecting them with necessary resources.

Earlier in her career, Mrs. McKennie joined the U.S. military after her divorce left her to care for her two sons on her own, as she had decided that the best way to provide for her family would be to join the institution. After serving as a soldier between 1981 and 2002, she excelled in the rank of Sergeant Major for the following six years. Mrs. McKennie retains her professional alignment with the Atlanta Buffalo Soldiers Association and the Enlisted Association of the National Guard of Georgia in order to remain aware of changes in the field.

An expert in her field, Mrs. McKennie earned a Bachelor of Arts in organizational management from Ashford University in 2011 and a Master's Degree in Church Administration through the Seed Faith Theological Seminary in 2012. During her spare time, she contributes to her community through the American Legion, as well as her local hospice and food bank. In light of her outstanding efforts with the military, she has been honored with the Legion of Merit Award, six Meritorious Service Medals, Joint Service Commendation Medal, six Army Commendation Medals, 4 Army Achievement Medals, six Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon #4, three Georgia Meritorious Service Medals and Georgia Medal of Valor. Featured in the Fayette Woman Magazine as a "Sergeant Major Mom," Mrs. McKennie intends to experience the continued growth of her travel agency in the years to come.
