BUFORD, GA, May 18, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Franklin Jones with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Franklin Jones celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Jones is renowned as the chief executive officer, the president and the owner of First Consulting Group LLC, a low-voltage wiring services provider. With over 50 combined years of experience in the field, he established the company in 2000 after working as a regional technical manager and a regional operations manager for Dish Network. Mr. Jones attributes his success to his supportive cousin, Alvin Thompson, and his uncles, Welben Hilton and Franklin Jones, as he was raised in a troubled neighborhood but was able to overcome this obstacle with their encouragement.
Furthermore, Mr. Jones served in the U.S. Air Force for more than 20 years. In light of his exemplary military service, he was recognized with 5 Meritorious Service Medals, 2 Air Force Commendation Medals, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry, 5 Air Medals, the Space Com Senior Badge, Flight Wings, an Air Traffic Control Badge, a Communications Electronics Badge and a First Sergeant Diamond. Notably, Mr. Jones stressed that his active duty in Vietnam felt safer because "at least he knew who the enemy was."
Initially, Mr. Jones earned a Bachelor of Science and a master's degree from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. A certified air traffic controller, he also obtained a Bachelor of Science in electrical, electronic and communications engineering from the University of New Hampshire at Manchester. However, Mr. Jones cites his crowning achievement in his four decade-long career was installing a fiber optic system in a 40-story condominium at one tenth of the price others were charging, which he conducted all by himself.
A disabled Veteran and a minister at Freedom Christian Ministry, Mr. Jones works and trains at a counseling center and contributes to an anger management class as he believes it is important to give back to one's community. Believing that God is good, he has also made a very big difference among the frustrated and confused youth he has encountered. Looking toward the future, Mr. Jones hopes to build a veteran's transition center with the help of many military friends as well as a retirement home in the years to come.
