Launching her career endeavors in 1973, Ms. Butler served as a property manager for the Connecticut Westridge Association in Bridgeport, CT, and subsequently as a rental manager for Investment Property Association in Westport, CT. After working for eight years in real estate management, she pivoted toward financial planning with Investors Diversified Services in New London, CT. in 1981 becoming a gold team planner in 1990 and a member of the president's advisory council in 1993. In 2006 Nancy was inducted into The Hall of Fame for Ameriprise Financial. An award-winning author, Ms. Butler has published three award-winning books aimed towards helping people enjoy a more successful life and business. To wit, she wrote "Above All Else: Success in Life and Business" in 2012, "A Realtor's Guide to Greater Success" in 2014 and "Independence, Happiness and Success in Your Senior Years" in 2017.
Born and raised in Connecticut, Ms. Butler has enjoyed supporting various local organizations. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s she was a member of the board of directors of Lakeside Association in Ledyard, former president of Soroptimist International Shoreline Chapter, treasurer of The Eastern Connecticut Estate and Tax Planning Council and from 2015 to present the treasurer of The New England Hebrew Farmers of The Emanuel Society. Ms Butler was appointed to serve as a delegate to The United Nations for The Commission on the Status of Women for 2018, 2019 and 2020, promoting gender equality and women empowerment. Recommended for the position by Soroptimist International, Ms. Butler has been a member of the worldwide women's organization for 35 years.
