Mr. Morrison is renowned as an information technology executive with more than 20 years of distinction in the healthcare services sector. A graduate of the University at Buffalo, he obtained a Bachelor of Arts, and subsequently earned a Master of Business Administration in 2013. Mr. Morrison began his career as an account manager for Xerox from 1992 to 1995. From 1995 to 2000, he served as an account manager for ComDoc, Inc., departing to become a sales executive for Cardinal Health. He flourished with Cardinal Health until 2005, at which point he joined the Cerner Corporation as a client executive before being appointed as the director of sales at CareFusion in 2006. Mr. Morrison later found success as a regional director with RelayHealth, a division of McKesson Corporation, in 2013, a role he held until 2015 when he was asked to serve as the vice president of Kit Check, a start-up company launching an RFID driven medication management solution.
In 2016, he thrived as the director of client services at Encore Health Resources. Since emids' acquisition of Encore Health Resources in 2017, Mr. Morrison has excelled as a vice president, where he has further developed his reputation for being a reliable resource for clients to turn to for help in navigating emerging challenges in the healthcare industry and earning distinction as a trusted advisor to his clients.
Mr. Morrison entered the healthcare industry because he witnessed opportunities to help streamline processes that would help healthcare providers deliver quality care in a financially sustainable manner, and his genuine commitment to service is a hallmark of his approach to client management. He has redularly been invited to join executive leadership meetings and forums with his clients, which he considers some of the proudest moments of his career.
Since 2015, Mr. Morrison has maintained his involvement with the Health Information Management Society (HIMSS) and in 2018 became a member of the executive board of the New York State chapter, and in 2019 was invited to join the board of directors of InfoTech Western New York., where he serves as a healthcare industry advisor. He is active in community charitable initiatives as well, such as volunteering at the Food Bank of Western New York and the Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
