Lanette Mina Lind has composed symphonic and chamber music throughout the length of her career, as well as music for theater, dance and documentary films.

An accomplished listee, Ms. Lind celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. Having accrued more than 65 years of inimitable expertise in the field of musical education, Ms. Lind has garnered a laudable reputation as a brilliant composer and pianist. She has composed symphonic and chamber music throughout the length of her career, as well as music for theater, dance and documentary films. Presently, Ms. Lind continues to serve as music director and pianist to the Raleigh Symphony Orchestra's Free Spirits Ensemble, which is involved in several concerts each season. She also teaches piano locally to students of every age and level of ability.

Ms. Lind has composed concert music as well as music for theater, dance, documentary and animated films. Her symphonic works have been performed by major symphony orchestras including the St. Louis Symphony, Syracuse Symphony, and the Rochester Philharmonic. Her musical theater works have been performed at the Longstreet Theatre in Columbia, SC; Theatre in the Park in Raleigh, NC; at the American Music Festival in Philadelphia; and, at the Douglas Fairbanks Theater and Lincoln Center in New York. A Celebration of Spirituals was recently performed at the National Museum of Women in the Arts. She has received commissions and awards from the National Music Theater Network, Alabama Orchestral Association, ASCAP, North Carolina Arts Council, Cornell University, Raleigh Symphony Orchestra and many others.

Inspired by classical music, Ms. Lind majored in piano performance with Ozan Marsh and Patricia Benkman at the School of Music at Indiana University. A recognized member of several organizations pertinent to her interests, she remains active with the American Society of Composers, the Music Teachers National Association and, among others, the Society of Composers Inc. Recognized for her creative achievements, Ms. Lind received a Raleigh Medal of Arts in 2004, as well as numerous American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers awards and commissions.
