Dr. Hitsumoto is also recognized as a fellow of the Japanese Coronary Association, which presented him with the 2010 Grand Prize for his research accomplishments.
In addition to his affiliation with the Japanese Coronary Association, Dr. Hitsumoto has been selected as a fellow of the Japanese College of Cardiology. He credits the inspiration of his early mentor, Toho University professor Kohji Shirai, and the support of his wife, Nanae Hitsumoto, for his continued career success.
