Dr. Hitsumoto is renowned as a cardiologist with more than 25 years of service to his patients and profession. A graduate of Toho University, he earned a Doctor of Medicine in 1992 before beginning his career as an assistant in internal medicine at Sakura Hospital in 1996. In 2003, Dr. Hitsumoto was presented with the Japanese College of Angiology'sYoung Investigator Award, an accolade he considers to be a career highlight.

In 2005, Dr. Hitsumoto was appointed as an internal medicine lecturer at Toho University Sakura Hospital. Since 2006, he has flourished as the director of the Hitsumoto Medical Clinic, where he plans to remain in practice for years to come. Dr. Hitsumoto is also recognized as a fellow of the Japanese Coronary Association, which presented him with the 2010 Grand Prize for his research accomplishments.

In addition to his affiliation with the Japanese Coronary Association, Dr. Hitsumoto has been selected as a fellow of the Japanese College of Cardiology. He credits the inspiration of his early mentor, Toho University professor Kohji Shirai, and the support of his wife, Nanae Hitsumoto, for his continued career success. Moreover, Dr. Hitsumoto is a lifelong professional baseball fan, and enjoys watching and attending games in his leisure time.
