Outside of her educational endeavors, Ms. Benton devoted herself to her community as the state agency chairperson for United Way of Mississippi. In this capacity, she achieved full participation in a large state agency for two years in a row.
Prior to pursuing her current degree, Ms. Benton earned a Master of Science in educational administration from American Public University in 2016, as well as a Bachelor of Science from David Lipscomb University in 1970. To remain aware of developments effecting the legal sector, she maintains her affiliation with the Jackson and National Associations of Legal Professionals. In light of her outstanding accomplishments, she was nominated through the National Society of Leadership and Success and was named as the Houseparent of the Year through the Tennessee Association of Child Care Institutions in 1977.
