Ms. Davis is esteemed as a retired nurse and business owner celebrating more than a decade in the medical profession and a lifetime of service to others. Interested in science and technology from a young age, she had harbored a lifelong dream to become a nurse. Raised in a family dedicated to community service, Ms. Davis was instilled with a drive to help others in any way possible, and considers caring professions to be "in her blood."
After completing high school, Ms. Davis married a preacher, whose frequent reassignments led to the couple's numerous relocations around the country. Unable to settle in one location for long enough to begin a medical career, she earned a Bachelor of Science in religion from Huntingdon College and an Associate of Science in accounting, and dedicated much of her career occupying secretarial and office management roles. In 2001, Ms. Davis' husband sadly passed away, and she returned to academia to pursue an Associate of Applied Sciences in registered nursing.
For more than 10 years thereafter, Ms. Davis excelled as a registered nurse, working in a variety of healthcare settings. In addition to her clinical work, she has served her community as a member of the board of directors of the Samaritan Counseling Center and the Leadership Autauga County Program, as well as the president of the Clergy Spouses' Association. Ms. Davis attributes her success to focusing on the tasks at hand, overcoming each obstacle as it appears, and lives by the scriptural dictum that "He has great plans for us and will help us to attain those great plans."
Following her retirement from nursing, Ms. Davis established a new business venture, a baby furniture and equipment rental company providing services and products to traveling families like her own. She looks forward to continuing to focus on her business and helping families however she can in the coming years. Likewise, Ms. Davis hopes to travel extensively while continuing to cement her legacy as a versatile and hard-working figure in her respective fields.
