Sally Bishop spent 25 years at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City as a Nurse Clinician in Ostomy and Wound Care. Prior to this position, she worked as a staff nurse in Pediatrics at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ, and at the Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in NYC. As a Nurse Consultant with Byram Healthcare her expertise in Ostomy and Wound Care were developed when seeing patients at Metropolitan Medical Center and Mount Sinai Medical Center. In this role she lectured in many hospitals across the New England states, NY, NJ, and Philadelphia.
As a Clinician at Mount Sinai Medical Center, she has participated in conferences, lectures and symposiums throughout her career. She served as an advisor for the United Ostomy Association, a speaker at the American Cancer Society, and a consultant and educator to the VNS Home Care in Ostomy and Wound Care. She was recognized with service awards from the Colostomy and the Ileostomy Association of NY. She received a Nurse of Distinction Award from the Mount Sinai Medical Center for her role in teaching and commitment to staff and her patients. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, the New York State Nurses Association, International Association of Ostomy and Wound Care, and the American Holistic Nurses Association.
She received her RN at Cheshire Medical Center in Keene, NH following in the footsteps of her greatest mentor, her Mom, who had graduated there many years before her. She attained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Marymount Manhattan College in NYC.
After a car accident and a broken rib she was introduced to BodiHealth Machine which healed her rib in record time. Seeing the power of the technology she left Mount Sinai she went to Australia for 9 months and helped the inventor of the BodiHealth Technology to open a Wound Care Clinic. She returned to NY and opened a Private Practice using this technology. This led her to working with the National Foundation for Alternative Medicine conducting studies with the BodiHealth in healing wounds. With this expertise in Ostomy and Wound Care she remains active as a consultant in this role for any one in need of this technology.
Her interest in Alternative Practices led her to Certifications in a 4 year program in Brennan Healing Science, 4 years of Craniosacral Therapy at the Great River Cranial Sacral Institute with Dr. Ron Wish MD in Nyack, NY, and a Reiki Master Teacher at the Brand Wellness Center. She is an Advanced Mastery Marconics Quantum Recalibration and 'Lux Magnum' Practitioner. She is a Higher Brain Living and Source Code Meditation Mastery Facilitator.
