During the late 1990s, Mr. Elnaggar began operating the now nationally known food truck, RU Hungry on the Rutgers University campus aimed at college students, faculty and local businesses in the area. In the years since, he has developed the business and remains the sole owner of RU Hungry. Before deciding to concentrate his efforts in food service, Mr. Elnaggar attained a B.S. degree in Engineering as well as a B.S. in Telecommunications Management.
Notably, RU Hungry has been featured on various television shows on the Food Network, Travel Channel and the Food Channel. RU Hungry was invited to participate in Superbowl XLVIII as one of the food service vendors for the elite meet and greet. They were also featured at Madison Square Garden during a NY Knicks game where they were invited to serve their famous "Fat Sandwiches" to the waiting crowds. The business was also awarded the #1 Sandwich in the Country by Maxim magazine. These were all fantastic opportunities and thrilling accomplishments.
Mr. Elnaggar has since expanded his business to include a brick and mortar store located on the Rutgers University campus in New Brunswick, NJ as well as a second location at the Newark, NJ campus. Now, Mr. Elnaggar has set his sites on making RU Hungry available beyond NJ. In the near future RU Hungry will begin franchising locations as Mr. Elnaggar ventures into real estate and investment property opportunities.
