OCEANSIDE, CA, June 18, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Steve Baden has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Supported by more than 30 years of experience in the field of residential energy efficiency, Mr. Baden has excelled for more than 20 years with home energy ratings and energy mortgages on the state and national level, as well as 10 years administering a state energy office. Since 1996, he has found success as the founding executive director of the Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET). In addition to his current roles, Mr. Baden has served on the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers' Residential Buildings Committee since 2019. Moreover, he is a former volunteer of VISTA (the domestic Peace Corp) in Alaska.

Notably, Mr. Baden initiated the "Warm Homes for Alaskans Initiative," which received the 1993 National Award for the Most Outstanding State Housing Program from the National Council of State Housing Agencies. He was likewise awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award from the U.S. Department of Energy and RESNET. Mr. Baden attributes his career success to being at the right place at the right time, as well as his background knowledge in history, which has granted him a larger perspective on work and life. He also believes hard work and networking is essential in a field as vast as his.

Mr. Baden received a Master of Arts in American political history from Pittsburg State University in 1974, and subsequently completed coursework in history at the University of Kansas in 1976. He became interested in energy policy while working on his doctoral degree at the University of Kansas in the late 1970s. Influenced by the current events of the second oil embargo, Mr. Baden worked on a paper detailing the causes of the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor, which saw the United States cut off Japan's access to oil.

Reflecting upon his career, Mr. Baden is proud to have had 240,000 homes in the United States rated through their program in 2019. The process involves the inspection and labeling of the home's performance, which encompassed roughly 24% of all new homes built in 2019. Looking toward the future, Mr. Baden aspires to search for a new venue for his life's journey, believing that the time will come soon that he must step aside to make room for a new generation.
