Since 1984, Dr. Paul J. Cardile has distinguished himself as the owner of Cardile Galleries in New York City.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts from Queens College, New York City, and earned a Master of Philosophy at Yale University in 1974. Dr. Cardile completed a Doctor of Philosophy at Yale in 1976.

Since 1984, Dr. Cardile has distinguished himself as the owner of Cardile Galleries in New York City. Prior to opening the gallery, he was an assistant professor at the State University of New York at Albany, Newcomb College, and Cleveland State University. From 1978 until 1984, Dr. Cardile found success as an assistant professor and museum director at Denison University.

To remain aware of developments in his field, Dr. Cardile maintained his membership within the Appraiser Association of America since 1985, and sat on the organization's board of directors between 1995 and 2002. He is the author of "Paintings in Churches and Sacred Places in Cortona," published in 1982, and a frequent contributor to professional journals. Likewise, Dr. Cardile is a National Endowment of the Humanities fellow, and a lifetime member of the National Arts Club of New York City.
