Richard C. Genabith Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

Mr. Genabith has garnered a laudable reputation as an entrepreneur, court officer, and legal administrator with more than 45 years of service as a New Jersey officer. He attended Seton Hall University, graduating in 1969 with a Bachelor of Arts, and remains an active alumni supporter. Mr. Genabith considers his education to be the keystone and highlight of both his career and his development as an individual.

Mr. Genabith's forays into business ownership began in 1965 with the acquisition of a Mr. Softee franchise in Irvington. He maintained the franchise until 1972, and was an owner and partner in A&R Snowplowing from 1970 until 1978. Previously, in 1967, Mr. Genabith opened AndRich Studios as a talented photographer, which operated until 1993. Moreover, he was a member of the National Press Photographers, New Jersey Professional Photographers Association, and remains a member of the Professional Photographers of America.

In 1970, Mr. Genabith became a constable for Union Township, New Jersey, and a Court Officer for Union County, New Jersey District Court in 1975. In 1994 the state took over the district courts making Mr. Genabith a Superior Court Officer of the Special Civil Part. In addition to his skills in legal support, in 1987 he added RCG Cellular Enterprises to his portfolio of businesses.

Mr. Genabith was active in several local Chambers of Commerce, and is the past president of the Irvington Chamber of Commerce, having served from 1989 to 1991. He is a former president of the Optimists Club, and is active in the Union Elks Lodge, where he served as the state chair and editor for New Jersey from 1987 through the early 1990s. Mr. Genabith was the winner of the first place award for the Elks National Newspaper contests held between 1988 and 1992. He was also a Past Exalted Ruler, Past Vice President, and Past District Deputy. In his leisure, time, Mr. Genabith enjoys travel, boating, and coin collecting.
