Prior to this appointment, Dr. Ham found success as a teacher at Kyungpook National University in Daegu and was a research assistant at Yonsei University's Nursing Policy Research Institute.
Highly educated, Dr. Ham initially pursued a Bachelor of Science in nursing at Yonsei University in Seoul, graduating in 1988. Continuing her education, she subsequently received a Master of Public Health on campus in the graduate school of public health in 1997. Ultimately, she attained a Doctor of Philosophy in health studies at Texas Women's University in the U.S. in 2002. Eminently qualified in her field, Dr. Ham has been registered as a nurse through the Korea Ministry of Health and Welfare since 1988 and as a certified health education specialist through the National Commission of Health Education Credentialing since 2005.
Dr. Ham's passion for health care has led her to conduct extensive research in her field, resulting in several contributions to numerous articles in scholarly journals. Aligned with many prominent industry related organizations to remain aware of developments in her field, she is currently a member of the Korea Nurses Association and the Society of Public Health Educators. A celebrated Marquis listee, Dr. Ham has been cited in several editions of Who's Who in Asia, Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare and Who's Who in the World.
