CHICAGO, IL, June 25, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- F. John Cushing III, Esq., has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Representing clients for more than four decades, Mr. Cushing is renowned as a brilliant personal injury and trial attorney who has garnered acclaim for his work in areas of wrongful death, construction negligence, automobile and other catastrophic accidents and injuries, as well as medical malpractice and workers' compensation. As the founder of Cushing Law Offices in Chicago, he works alongside his son, Michael Cushing, a talented attorney and litigator who has been in practice since 2003 and focuses his practice on wrongful death, professional malpractice and personal injury cases. Throughout his career, Mr. Cushing has represented dozens of successful cases, boasts extensive experience trying cases in state and federal courts throughout the country and, in recent years, his firm has begun trying cases in the states of Wyoming and Florida.

A practicing attorney since 1976, Mr. Cushing maintains a reputation for excellence due to his diligence and the personal approach that he utilizes with each of his clients. Motivated by the many tragic and horrible stories of people who have lost love ones or have become critically injured due to someone else's negligence, Cushing Law Offices work tirelessly to achieve the maximum compensation for their clients. Mr. Cushing's tenacity in the courtroom has notably earned him numerous referrals over the years, which is always a privilege and a compliment.

Of all Mr. Cushing's many triumphs, one of his most notable settlements was on behalf of a 38-year-old wife and mother who had unfortunately passed away because of a faulty transdermal fentanyl patch that had leaked and caused an overdose. After suing the company, Johnson & Johnson, her husband and three children were ultimately awarded $21 million after taking the case to the Supreme Court of Illinois. The pharmaceutical giant was also required to discontinue its patch and redesign it in 2012. Another significant case to his credit included one against the Chicago public transportation system after a young medical student was assaulted and killed. After discovering that this was not the first attack, the safety system had to undergo a complete redesign to better protect the public.

Mr. Cushing initially pursued an education at Loyola University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in business administration and economics in 1973. He subsequently obtained a law degree from the aforementioned university in 1976. Moreover, Mr. Cushing has been admitted to practice by the Illinois State Bar Association, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth and Seventh Circuits.

Mr. Cushing has maintained a longstanding relationship as a member of the American Bar Association. He has also been recognized by being featured in several professional legal publications and has been recognized as a Super Lawyer by Illinois Super Lawyers. Furthermore, Mr. Cushing has been highlighted as an expert attorney in "Top Lawyers: The Secrets to their Success."
