Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Having accrued four decades of experience in his field, Mr. Pashley excelled in the industry as a biomedical technician, retiring as a level two technician from Geneva General Hospital in 2019. While working in maintenance in a health care facility during the early years of his career, he recalls observing an upper management employee walk in with a toolbox. Impressed by the gesture, Mr. Pashley discovered the man was a biomedical technician. When he asked what he had to do to pursue a career in the field, the man told Mr. Pashley to graduate college and return to him. Two years later, he graduated and obtained his first job in the field.
An expert in his field, Mr. Pashley earned a degree in biomedical electronics from Cerritos Community College in 1980. Throughout the course of his vocational path, he also earned certifications in intensive care monitoring, anesthesia monitoring and Berchtold operating room tables and systems. Mr. Pashley is particularly well qualified in the maintenance of cardio and intensive care equipment, as well as the repair of other biomedical instruments.
Though his professional journey has been suffused with highlights, Mr. Pashley is especially proud to have assisted the prestigious Yale University in ensuring that their hospital complied with regulatory commissions to be able to pass accreditation through the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals in the capacity of endoscopic and laparoscopic specialist with the surgical suites. A champion of his community, he dedicates himself to the local Elks club and the Meriden Rod and Gun Club. Looking toward the future, Mr. Pashley aspires to continue in the field in a part-time capacity.
