After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice from the University of Maryland College Park, Mr. Merryman began working on rental properties with his wife in 2012. The Merryman's eventually ventured into buy-and-sell real estate, or "flipping houses."
During this busy time, Mr. Merryman also earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland University College. The Merryman's then connected with a business coach, Stefan Aarnio, who helped them scale their business. and rebrand to American Flip House.
As the top executive of his company, Mr. Merryman manages and delegates how all of the company's subsidiaries operate, which includes monitoring and providing final approval for payroll, projects, contracts, materials, budgets, expansion and scaling, and reports and analysis. Mr. Merryman is also a certified consultant and real estate investment coach through Black Card U. He has also earned further distinction as the founder of Final Measure Incorporated. For their success in real estate, Mr. Merryman and his wife were listed at number eight on the Yahoo Finance list for the "Top 20 Real Estate Investors to Keep Track of in 2020." They were also featured on the front page of the Frederick News Post.
In accounting for his success, Mr. Merryman credits his propensity for hard work, determination and the drive to ensure his family is well cared for. Looking toward the future, he and his wife aspire to expand their business to the point where they can achieve the affluence to become philanthropists in different areas. To this end, the Merryman's would like to renovate 30 to 50 homes annually and expand the services and reach of the Black Card U program.
