Having accrued nearly 50 years of inimitable experience in the field of legal services, Mr. Minter garnered a laudable reputation as a shareholder with Fitzgerald, Schorr, Barmettler and Brennan PC before his retirement in 2013. He was first acquired by the firm as an associate attorney in 1965, and later advanced to become a partner in 1971. Among his practice areas, he notably concentrated his practice in immigration, securities, financing and corporate law. For more than 125 years, Fitzgerald Schorr has served as a leading law firm, providing services in such areas as business and corporate, human resources, immigration and naturalization, securities, intellectual property, municipal and administrative law.

A proven leader in the profession, Mr. Minter began teaching in 1969 as an adjunct professor at the Creighton University School of Law, where he taught for nearly 40 years until 2005. He also parlayed his knowledge at the University of Nebraska College of Law where he taught for six years. He served as Presidential Board Member of Nebraska Continuing Legal Education Inc. as chairperson of both the curriculum committee and the publications committee. Mr. Minter was appointed by the Nebraska Supreme Court as a faculty member of the Nebraska Judicial College as well as the director and chairperson of the seminars committee. Mr. Minter also provided his expertise as a consultant for the U.S. Department of Justice and as a member of the Securities and Exchange Commission seminar faculty (29 years). Furthermore, he contributed many articles to various legal publications covering an array of legal topics in his areas of expertise.

Supporting various local organizations, Mr. Minter was active as a board trustee and vice chairperson of the Second Unitarian Church of Omaha between 2015 and 2018. In previous years, he served on the board of directors and as the vice president, secretary and president of the Omaha Symphony Association. Furthermore, Mr. Minter was the secretary and president of the Omaha Symphony Men's Council, a member of the Community Advisory Board of KVNO Public Radio Station and president and a board director of the Omaha Ballet Society.

Mr. Minter received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree at the Municipal University of Omaha in 1964 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree at Creighton University in 1965. Upon graduation from the Creighton University School of Law he was inducted into Alpha Sigma Nu, the national Jesuit Honor Society. Following his graduation from college and law school, he served to the rank of Captain in the Judge Advocate General Corps of the U.S. Army Reserve between 1967 and 1978. Mr. Minter has been admitted to practice law by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Nebraska, the Supreme Court of Nebraska, the U.S. Court of Military Appeals, and the Supreme Court of the United States.

To enhance his legal career, Mr. Minter has been a member of the Nebraska State Bar Association, where he holds Emeritus status, the Omaha Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. He is also a lifetime fellow of the Nebraska State Bar Foundation, where he was bestowed with an Outstanding Legal Educator Award in 1997. Moreover, Mr. Minter was formerly active as a member of the House of Delegates of the Nebraska State Bar Association, where he served in his role between 1990 and 2012. A celebrated Marquis listee, Mr. Minter has been featured in the 57th and 58th editions of Who's Who in America, the first edition of Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America and several editions of Who's Who in American Law.
