As a dedicated professional, Ms. Nelson specializes in various areas of public relations and communications, including strategic brand management, collaborative project management, client management, social media management, web and print design, advertising and sales, marketing, art direction and community events and coordination. Civically, Ms. Nelson serves as a notary public official in South Carolina and as a board member of the Academy of Career Excellence.
Growing up in rural South Carolina, Ms. Nelson was raised by a single mother, who encouraged her to pursue a formal education and stoked her dreams. She was eventually accepted into the Savannah College of Art & Design, twice, as an intended sound design major. Many years later after having children, Ms. Nelson decided to return to school and continue pursuing a fulfilling career. She went on to receive an Associate of Arts from the Technical College of the Low Country and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Strayer University.
For her professional achievements, Ms. Nelson was presented with the Emily Geiger DAR Chapter Media Award and the Phi Beta Kappa Award as well as several inclusions on various presidents' lists. She maintains her professional affiliation with the South Carolina Broadcasters Association. Looking toward the future, she plans to do more work in her community. As an entrepreneur, Ms. Nelson would like to continue to branch out and further expand her business and talents.
