Dr. Butler has 23 years of experience as a physician, 15 years as a cardiologist and two years at Cooper University Hospital. His areas of expertise include reading echo-cardiograms and nuclear stress tests, seeing outpatients, critical care, outpatient care and completing rounds for inpatients. Dr. Butler also sees patients in Camden and Washington Township.

In 1984, Dr. Butler received his MD from St. Louis University. He underwent his residency and internship at Keesler Medical Center, United States Air Force and his fellowship at Geisinger Medical Center. Prior to these, he earned his Bachelor's Degree at the University of Notre Dame. He is also board certified in internal medicine and cardiology.

Dr. Butler is affiliated with several organizations including the American Heart Association, the American College of Physician Executives, the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, the American Society of Echocardiography, the National Lipid Organization and the American Society of Preventive Cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Cardiology.
