Khanh Quang Dang Celebrated for Dedication to the Field of Engineering

Mr. Dang specializes in mechanical engineering with Integration Innovation Inc.

Khanh Quang Dang celebrates over 35 years of expertise in engineering, during which he specialized in structural, dynamics, fatigue and thermal fluids analysis.

MADISON, AL, July 23, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Khanh Quang Dang has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Dang celebrates over 35 years of expertise in engineering, during which he specialized in structural, dynamics, fatigue and thermal fluids analysis. Presently, he excels as a senior structural analyst with Integration Innovation Inc., otherwise known as i3. In his senior role, Mr. Dang performs thermal, stress and dynamic analyses of external and internal components of high speed vehicles, assesses harmonic and random vibration responses in external equipment mounted on a helicopter and trains younger engineers in high and low cycle fatigue analyses.

Prior to joining i3, Mr. Dang had gained valuable expertise as an aerospace engineer for the U.S. Army for nearly 20 years. Between 2001 and 2019, he reviewed and assessed thermal/fluid and stress/dynamic/fatigue analyses from major gas turbine and reciprocating engine companies and evaluated technical proposals from major engine firms as part of the U.S. Army Selection Boards for selecting future engines of black hawk and apache helicopters. Though his career has been suffused with standout moments, he is especially proud to make significant contributions to the very successful improvement of the UAV propulsion system resulting in a journal publication and new UAV engine component qualifications. Evaluation of the docked space shuttle shadowing the space station solar arrays was an excellent accomplishment. During the first 15 years of his career, Mr. Dang honed his knowledge of thermal/fluid analysis with various companies, including NASA Contracted Sverdrup, Raytheon Missile System Co., CHAMP of North America, Teledyne Brown Engineering, the University of Tennessee Space Institute and United Technologies.

He arrived in America from Viet Nam in 1979 as "a boat person." Mr. Dang earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Bridgeport. Following this accomplishment, he received a Master of Science in mechanical engineering from Columbia University, and a Master of Science in aerospace engineering from the University of Tennessee and a Master of Arts in mathematics from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Over the years, Mr. Dang has also undertaken coursework in fluid mechanics at Cleveland State University.

Mr. Dang aligns himself with the American Helicopter Society to remain aware of changes in the field. Devoted to his community, he also contributes various school lunch programs in the area. For his outstanding work in the industry, he has been recognized on numerous occasions, receiving a recognition letter from NASA Glenn Director for outstanding analysis to support the robust design of the Space Station Thermal Control System, Space Experiments in Space Shuttles, and several Outstanding Performance Awards from NASA Glenn, the Department of the U.S. Army, the Army Research Lab, as well as an Achievement Award through Raytheon Missile Company. Looking forward, Mr. Dang aims to further his knowledge and pass on his skills to the next generation of engineers. He has published several technical papers in The Journal of American Helicopter Society and the International Journal of Engine Research.
