Raised by a single father alongside his sister, Mr. Hogstrom was taught how to cook by his father utilizing his grandmother's recipes. As a young man, he decided to enlist in the U.S. Navy, in which he served as a mess management specialist between 1992 and 2003. During this time, Mr. Hogstrom was able to foster his love of cooking and nutrition, leading to him pursuing his passion upon his discharge from military service.
In 2003, Mr. Hogstrom accepted the position of the assistant manager of Ryan's Family Steak House, with which he remained active for two years prior to joining Applebee's in the same position. Backed by his professional expertise, he was appointed as the senior director of nutrition services for Morrison in 2006. In pursuit of his aspirations, Mr. Hogstrom earned a certification as a dietary manager and a food protection professional through the Association of Nutrition & Food Service Professionals.
During his spare time, Mr. Hogstrom contributes to his community as a student mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters. For his outstanding work, he was recently presented with the Be the Leader Award from Morrison. In the coming years, Mr. Hogstrom aims to obtain the role of a district manager with Morrison.
