Mary S. Wald Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

At a retirement celebration from Temple University, Mary S. Wald's Banking and Finance Club announced the development of an endowed scholarship in her name.

Having accrued more than 30 years of inimitable expertise in the field of finance education, Ms. Wald garnered a laudable reputation as an adjunct instructor in risk management and personal finance on behalf of Temple University between 1984 and 1999, whereupon she retired. She previously worked as an office manager with Home Health Aide Inc. in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, from 1975 to 1982. In her initial forays onto her career path, Ms. Wald earned distinction as an English and reading teacher through the Salt Lake City board of education from 1967 until 1974.

Prior to embarking upon her professional journey, Ms. Wald attended the College of Idaho, from which she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English in 1966. In the 1980s, she was persuaded by her friends to return to school to pursue a graduate degree. To wit, Ms. Wald matriculated at Temple University, where she attained a Master of Business Administration in finance in 1984.

Ms. Wald contributed her expertise to the field as the co-author of "Controlling Your Money, Step By Step," published in 1987. Before venturing into the field of finance education, she earned accolades from the Salt Lake City Board of Education with an Outstanding Teacher of the Year award for the 1973-74 school year.
