An acclaimed media journalist, announcer and anchorwoman in the United States and South Korea, Dr. You has excelled with several media networks, including SBS (Seoul Broadcasting System), MBC (Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation), SBS CNBC and CNBC Global Network. Additionally, she served as a spokesperson for numerous international mega sporting events such as the 16th Incheon Asian Games, the 28th Universiade Gwangju 2015, the 6th CISM World Games, the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics and the 2019 Chungju World Martial Arts Masterships. Today, she channels her vast expertise into her work as a communications expert and media journalist with YOU Creative Communications Lab. Although her career is still on the rise, Dr. You is especially proud to have been the first among Korean media professionals to report the Global Business News at the New York Stock Exchange.
In pursuit of her ideal career, Dr. You earned a Master of Public Administration in mass communications from Yonsei University. Following this accomplishment, she received a Master of Science in integrated marketing communications – direct and interactive marketing communications from New York University. She completed doctoral course from Gwangwoon University and earned a Ph.D. degree. Dr. You retains her professional alignment with the Korean Media Association and the Korean Announcers Association in order to remain aware of developments in the field.
Due to her outstanding work, she was honored with the Best Announcer Award by the Korean Announcers Association in 1999. Many other recognitions followed, including the Achievement Award from Munkyung City in 2015 and the Presidential Citation from the Korean President and Government in 2017.
She has recently taken new positions such as a screening committee member of SIGNIS ASIA along with a spokesperson and executive committee member of the SIGNIS World Congress 2022 in Seoul, and extending her interest and expertise to multicultural society and multi-cultural adaptation, which is one of the ways to embrace the diversity of the world and to contribute to global harmony. She translated a book titled "The Book of Moods" written by an American writer and published in 2020. The Korean version will be published in a few months.
She attributes her success to an innate passion for her profession, as well as her lack of hesitation to take on new challenges. She has a mission to educate and consult so that she may share her experiences and mentor others.
