Mitchell Redlo Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

Having earned the distinguished title of a professor emeritus of economics, Mitchell Redlo enjoyed nearly three decades in the classroom teaching at Monroe Community College.

Having earned the distinguished title of a professor emeritus of economics, Mr. Redlo enjoyed nearly three decades in the classroom teaching at Monroe Community College until his retirement in 2017. Instructing various courses during his tenure, he was also instrumental in the establishment of the dual credit program in collaboration with the president of the college during the 1990s, which has since been utilized by high school students throughout the country in obtaining college credit at a discounted tuition. Mr. Redlo also served as the head of a committee that developed strategic planning grants with the president to incentivize faculty and staff members to contribute. Among other accomplishments, he was notably aligned with the middle states steering committee, which serves as the accrediting board for the northeast and oversees college standards. Prior to teaching, he worked in the field as a public finance manager at Marine Midland Bank.

During his renowned career in academia, Mr. Redlo authored the third editions of two textbooks: "An Introduction to the Principles of Microeconomics" and "An Introduction to the Market System." In more recent years, he provided his expertise as the chief financial officer for Maui Fresh Fish LLC in Hawaii between 2007 and 2010. Mr. Redlo also contributed as a consultant for Bistro135 in Rochester, New York, during 2007.

To prepare for his career, Mr. Redlo received a Bachelor of Arts in economics at Buffalo State College in 1981. He subsequently attended State University, where he completed a Master of Public Administration in public finances in 1983, a Master of Arts in economics in 1987, and all but his dissertation in economics. An avid advocate on behalf of his community, Mr. Redlo was also aligned with the Rush-Henriette Central School District in New York as a K-12 school volunteer between 1999 and 2008.
