With nearly 50 years of experience to his credit, Lloyd H. Sunderman is currently retired, having excelled as the president of Lloyd H. Sunderman, CPA, PC from 1996 to 2010. Prior to this role, he worked for the Cocopah Tribal Council as a controller from 1995 to 1996. He was additionally active as a partner with Sunderman, Williams & Steffen, CPA's from 1987 to 1995. Mr. Sunderman provided his wealth of knowledge to H&S Developers Inc. as a controller between 1980 and 1987.

Mr. Sunderman previously served as a partner with Wulftange, Robertson & Sunderman CPA's in Yuma, Arizona, from 1973 to 1980. He further flourished in his private accounting practice in Wellton, Arizona, from 1966 to 1972. Moreover, he was a cost accountant with the Cudahy Company from 1962 to 1964, a staff accountant for Main, LaFrentz & Company from 1964 to 1965, and a chief accountant for the McElhaney Cattle Company from 1965 to 1966. Mr. Sunderman began his career as an agent for the Provident Mutual Life Insurance Company in Phoenix, Arizona, from 1961 to 1962.

Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Sunderman pursued an education at Iowa State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in 1961. He concluded his studies at Arizona State University, completing postgraduate coursework from 1963 to 1964. Following these accomplishments, Mr. Sunderman became certified as a public accountant in Arizona.

Beyond his responsibilities within the field, Mr. Sunderman has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. Since 1997, he has contributed to the School Tuition Association of Yuma as chairman of the board. The former president of the Yuma Lutheran School, he dedicated his time and resources to Christ Lutheran Church in Yuma as the president from 1990 to 2001. Mr. Sunderman found much success on the board of directors for the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants from 1975 to 1976, the Yuma Crossing Park Council from 1984 to 1986, Caballeros de Yuma from 1984 to 1986, and the Yuma Fine Arts Association.

In addition to his primary vocation, Mr. Sunderman remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He had maintained his involvement with the Yuma Chamber of Commerce as a board chairman from 1982 to 1983 and the chairman of economic development from 1983 to 1984. He was also associated with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, in addition to serving as president of the Wellton-Mohawk Valley Kiwanis Club from 1970 to 1971 and the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants from 1975 to 1976.

In light of his exceptional undertakings, Mr. Sunderman has accrued several accolades throughout his impressive career. Notably, he was recognized as Boss of the Year for Yuma High School Cooperative Education from 1977 to 1978. He was eponymously honored with Lloyd Sunderman Recognition Day on July 21, 2009 by the Yuma Sun. Additionally, Mr. Sunderman was selected for inclusion in multiple editions of Who's Who in Finance and Industry.

Noted as the top student in his bookkeeping class while enrolled in high school, Mr. Sunderman was particularly drawn to his profession after greatly enjoying his courses at Iowa State University. He cites establishing his private practice and his subsequent employment with an area developer, Henry Schechert, as the highlights of his career. He was also mentored by Jack Ullery, a building contractor who guided him toward becoming a shareholder in his business while settling his business activities in rural areas. Looking toward the future, Mr. Sunderman hopes to continue cementing his exemplary legacy in the field of accounting.
