KINGSPORT, TN, August 06, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Robert Lee has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Inspired by Dr. Jeff Meadows, a great family physician, Dr. Lee was encouraged to enter the field of medicine, culminating in his current role as the medical director of Amedisys Hospice. Prior to his present position, he gained valuable expertise in the same position for several medical centers and groups, including the Holston Medical Group, Preston Place and Suites, the Village at Allandale and Hillside Manor. Throughout his career, Dr. Lee has served the healthcare needs of the elderly in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living homes and in-home settings.
In pursuit of his aspirations, Dr. Lee earned a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Mississippi in 1978. Subsequently, he completed an internship and residency at the Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He additionally obtained a certification in long-term care from the American Medical Directors Association and double Board Certified in Family Medicine and Hospice Palliative Medicine. Dedicated to those less fortunate, Dr. Lee contributes to his community as a volunteer for Providence (Free) Clinic of Kingsport.
In recognition of his professional achievements, Dr. Lee accepted a Healthcare Hero Award in 2015 and a Certificate of Recognition from ATG. Even though his career has been filled with highlights, he is especially proud of successfully learning how to take care of some of the most vulnerable people in our population d. In the coming years, Dr. Lee intends to continue helping others in the medical field as a consultant for hospice and palliative medicine.
