Ms. Vivas is the owner and chief executive officer of Agencia Del Viajero, combining career-defining excellence as an entrepreneur, diplomat and translator to help clients book vacations to Central America, Spain and more. A graduate of the University of Mobile, where she frequently made the Dean's List for her academic excellence, she notably holds a Bachelor of Science in international business and computer science, and a Master of Business Administration. Raised in a family with a strong entrepreneurial bent, Ms. Vivas was inspired by her mother's lifelong interest in starting a travel agency, and opened Agencia Del Viajero with her support.
Prior to establishing Agencia Del Viajero, Ms. Vivas contributed for five years to the American Embassy in Nicaragua and studied to become a licensed paralegal. She oversees the day-to-day operations of Agencia Del Viajero, including marketing, customer care and follow-up, and contract negotiations with airlines and hotels. In 2018, the agency received Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC) certification, an arduous process that provides consumers with an additional layer of security in booking. Ms. Vivas considers earning ARC certification to be one of her most prominent accomplishments, second only to opening the agency.
Fluent in Spanish and English, Ms. Vivas is proud to donate her time as a medical translator for hospital and emergency settings. Looking toward the future, she aspires to expand Agencia Del Viajero's service offerings to include a wider range of destinations. Most especially, Ms. Vivas is already working primarily with digital booking systems as technologies begin to standardize throughout the industry.
