Having accrued more than two and a half decades of inimitable expertise in the field of musical education, Ms. Hahn has garnered a laudable reputation as an orchestra teacher on behalf of the Coeur D'Alene School District at Woodland Middle School since 2000. In her current position, she serves as the director of all levels of Woodland Middle School orchestras and she teaches fifth grade strings at six elementary schools in the Coeur D'Alene School District. Ms. Hahn began her career as a music teacher in the Lakeland School District, after which she served as a music teacher in the Lewiston School District.
Coming of age among a family of musicians, Ms. Hahn was raised by parents who had earned distinction as music professors at the University of Idaho. Her father is a flautist and her mother played the piano, taught privately, ran a music camp and performed at concert venues. Ms. Hahn received a Bachelor of Arts in music education from the University of Idaho in 1995.
As a dedicated music teacher, Ms. Hahn has often been recognized for her efforts in her career. Most recently, she was listed in CDA Music Teachers We Love in Coeur D'Alene Magazine. She also won several competitions, and has been acknowledged by several music honor societies, including Phi Eta Sigma, Pi Kappa Lambda and Phi Kappa Phi. Throughout the course of her career, she has been most grateful to bring the joy of music into peoples' lives and delights in observing them develop a passion for the subject. Looking toward the future, Ms. Hahn aspires to continue on her current path to success.
