Additionally, he has listed as an arbitrator for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority since 2004. Over the years, Mr. Bhurtel has also honed his expertise in various legal positions.

Four years later, he earned a Master of Science in laws at Delhi University before accruing a Master of Laws through Touro College's Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 2003. Upon his graduation from Touro College, Mr. Bhurtel was admitted to practice law through the New York State Court, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Mr. Bhurtel remains professionally aligned with the New York State Bar Association and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, as well as the New York State Trial Lawyers Association. Devoted to his community, he has contributed to those less fortunate through the Global Nepali Professional Network, various nonprofit organizations, and the Non Resident Nepalis National Coordination Council of USA and other not for profit organization. With a plethora of knowledge at his disposal, Mr. Bhurtel has authored such published papers as "Application of Information Technology in Securities Transaction and Legal Policy of the Securities Board on Information Technology," "Nepal Bar Council and Its Policy Use of the Information Technology," "Under the World Trade Organization: Legal Service and Sepal" and "Dilemma of Computer Program Under the Copyright Law."
