A transport driver for Pepsi Bottling Group from 1976 to 1995, he obtained a commercial driver's license class A, a master instructor certificate and a driver trainer instructor certificate from the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association. Notably, Mr. Grace earned an Associate of Science in automotive diesel technology from Lincoln Technical School in Philadelphia, PA, in 1977.
Civically engaged, Mr. Grace serves as a volunteer with Aid for Friends and a commissioner for the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission. Additionally, he participates on the board for the Self-Help Movement in Philadelphia and the Bucks County Prison. Further active with division one of the Ancient Order of Hibernians in Bristol, PA, Mr. Grace is also affiliated with the Irish Society, the Knights of Columbus in Bensalem, PA, and the Elks Lodge in North Wildwood, NJ.
As a testament to his success and longevity in the field, Mr. Grace was recognized as the Labor Man of the Year by the Philadelphia Irish Society in 2004. He was also presented with the Pioneer Award from the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People in 2019. Mr. Grace attributes his success to being honest with the members of his team and doing his best on a daily basis.
Mr. Grace was drawn to his profession because his family was involved with the Teamsters since he was a child. Passionate about the organization's mission at an early age, he aspired to become involved himself once he grew of age. Looking toward the future, Mr. Grace intends to continue his exemplary efforts with Teamsters Local Union 830.
