With a significant interest in the human body, Dr. Li wanted to study how diseases affect humans and how medicine ultimately helps to prevent disease. Initially earning a degree in business administration and management from Liberty University, he later obtained a Doctor of Medicine from Sichuan University. Dr. Li began his career as an interventional cardiologist at Lanzhou University No. 1 Hospital in China for five years.
Returning to the United States to work at the Cleveland Clinic, where he remained for ten years, Dr. Li has also served as an assistant professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine since 2016. Specializing in clinical and combination research and literature as well as observation science, he has most enjoyed witnessing the translation of therapy to immunotherapy. Throughout his career, Dr. Li has flourished on the boards of EMT Public Health and Memorium, Medicine, Plos Journals, and BMC journals.
For his professional accomplishments, Dr. Li was presented with the Keith Rainin Foundation Synergy Award. He attributes his professional successes to his openness to collaborations. He maintains his professional affiliation with the American Professional Immunologists and the American Heart Association. In the coming years, Dr. Li hopes to continue helping patients and running his program.
