Dr. Yag-Howard is a highly regarded and nationally recognized dermatologist with 23 years of excellence in serving her patients and her profession. Initially earning her Bachelor of Science degree at Duke University in 1986 and Doctor of Medicine at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in 1993, she went on to complete an internship and residency in dermatology at University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine 1993 to 1997, where she was selected as Chief Resident in dermatology. As loyal alumni, Dr. Cyndi Yag-Howard and her husband, Dr. Corey Howard, have contributed to the USF Morsani College of Medicine with scholarship funds granting assistance to young medical students.
Since 1997, Dr. Yag-Howard has successfully built Yag-Howard Dermatology and Aesthetic Center to be an institution of excellence, providing patient-centered state-of-the-art care in a highly professional, friendly, and enjoyable atmosphere. The developer of the subcutaneous inverted cross mattress (SICM) stitch, as well as many other suturing techniques published in peer-reviewed dermatology journals, Dr. Yag-Howard is a prolific presenter in her field. A fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, she received each organizations' Presidential Citations for Leadership six times and one time respectively.
