An accomplished psychologist of 42 years, Dr. Litle has excelled as a psychology instructor for the University of Delaware from 1980 to 1986. He served as a recovery coordinator and clinical psychologist with the Wilmington VA Medical Center in Delaware from 2007 to 2015. While at the Wilmington VA, he developed a nationally recognized Recovery Program for Behavioral Health, including bringing Peer Support Specialists to the Medical Center, and developing a 501c3 Veteran's Advisory Council. Dr. Litle was also the Chair of the Disruptive Behavior Committee at the Wilmington VA from 2009 to 2015. Prior to this appointment, he was tenured with the Coatesville VA Medical Center, where he served the roles of a psychology technician and a clinical psychologist between 1983 and 2007. He previously contributed as a health science specialist at the Perry Point VA Medical Center in Maryland from 1983 to 1986. From 1980 to 1983, he worked as a clinical psychology intern for the Perry Point VA Medical Center and the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System. Earlier in his career, he was hired by the Lanterman Developmental Center in Pomona, California, where he held the position of a music therapy intern, later becoming a full music therapist with the College Hospital in Cerritos, California, between 1977 and 1979.

While at the Wilmington VA Medical Center, Dr. Litle served as the psychology training coordinator between 2008 and 2015. He was an adjunct professor of psychology in the graduate psychology program at Widener University, also from 2008 to 2015. He assisted several psychology graduate students achieve their doctorate degrees by serving on their graduate committees and participating in dissertation defenses.

Before embarking on his professional journey, Dr. Litle attended the University of the Redlands and earned a Bachelor of Music in 1968. In 1983 he graduated with a Master of Arts from California State University, Long Beach, later securing a Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology from the University of Delaware in 1986. He received certifications to teach in California and Virginia, and is a licensed Psychologist in the state of Delaware.

Helping Dr. Litle better empathize with his clients is the fact that he is himself a veteran, Dr. Litle served in the United States Navy as a Musician from 1969 to 1972. He was presented with the Francis Graves Award of Excellence in Service to United States Veterans in 2015, where he was the first individual to receive such an award. Civically, he volunteered his time as a Boy Scout leader in Delaware between 2001 and 2011. Recognized as an expert in the field, he has contributed more than 20 articles to professional journals. To keep abreast in developments surrounding the psychology industry, Dr. Litle maintains membership with the Psychomusicology Society, the American Music Therapy Association, the American Psychological Association and the Delaware Psychological Association. Outside of work, he enjoys freelance photography and is a member of the Professional Photographers of America, Photographic Society of America and the Delaware Photographic Society. Beginning in 2019, he has served as Chairman of the Wilmington International Exhibition of Photography, an exhibition recognized by the Photographic Society of America, which annually draws over 2500 entries from more than 650 photographers from 30 countries around the world.

Dr. Litle was born on Nov. 14, 1946 in Pomona, California, to Ralph Litle and Doris Elizabeth Litle. Currently a resident of Delaware, he has enjoyed more than 30 years of happy marriage to his wife, Patricia J. Litle, and together, they are the proud parents of Lauren and Philip. He is also the doting grandfather of two grandchildren.
