S. Anisa Singh Celebrated for Dedication to the Entertainment Industry

Mrs. Singh is an award-winning singer and songwriter for The Supertones Band

ORLANDO, FL, September 04, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- S. Anisa Singh has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

An award-winning international performer and recording artist, Mrs. Singh started dancing at a young age, winning the 1996 National Mashramani Competitions in Guyana. While there, others gave her the nickname "Princess," which she carries with her today. After starting as a backup dancer with The Supertones Band, she injured her back in 1999, leaving her unable to dance. At the behest of the band leader, and now husband, she began to sing. In 2009, she wrote a song that became number one on the West Indian music charts; it remained in the top 10 songs for over a year.

In light of her professional experiences singing various types of music across a multitude of genres, Mrs. Singh has sung with most major bands in the West Indian music industry, and has since transitioned into American pop music with the single "Warrior," which depicts her story of escaping from an abusive relationship. She is also now a lead vocalist in the pop band, Latitude28, founded by her and her husband.

Over the years, Mrs. Singh's work with The Supertones Band has brought her to cities all across the globe, such as in the United States and Canada, among other countries. With the United States' most toured international Chutney Soca band, she has written such songs as "Tek Sunita (Nadia's Reply)," which earned a Video of the Year Award at the West Indian Music Awards in 2011. Two years later, she received the Female Singer of the Year Award through the Music Awards. Apart from her work in entertainment, she is a doting wife, proud mother and accomplished business owner of multiple businesses, including a travel agency and a recruiting company. She is also the Director for the reality docu-series, "Making It with Latitude28".

While fostering her passion for music, Mrs. Singh earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology and sociology, as well as graduate coursework in mental health counseling. Outside of her vocational endeavors, she dedicates herself to charitable organizations regarding domestic violence awareness, children's issues and education. In 2018, she founded Amaya Children's Foundation to help underserved youth in education, food, clean water, clothing, housing and counseling.

In the coming years, Mrs. Singh aims to continue touring with Latitude28 and The Supertones Band, expanding her businesses and giving back to those less fortunate.
