After graduating in 2002 from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Society, Ethics and Human Behavior, Ms. Williams began her career with Neighborhood House because she supported their mission and wanted to make a meaningful contribution to her community. At the behest of a friend, in 2006 she shifted her attention toward the event technology industry. Years later, Ms. Williams continued pursuing her calling to support folks giving birth by earning a Birth Doula training certificate through the Seattle Midwifery School.
Currently, Ms. Williams excels as the Owner and Operator of Along the Way Doula Care as well as the Director of Business Administration for Evia, for which she was active as the Business and Event Project Manager from the mid-2000s until the mid-2010s. As a leader with Evia, she advocates for the team, implements strategic initiatives, supervises employee engagement, and manages the company financials. Ms. Williams remains aware of changes in the HR field through her alignment with the Society for Human Resource Management.
Ms. Williams is driven by her service to others. Outside of her primary responsibilities, Ms. Williams co-founded the OK Community as a path for healing from grief, contributes to those in need as a Unite Committee Member with Evia, is the Treasurer for Girl Scout Troop #40679 and a Parent-Teacher Association Board Member at Helen Keller Elementary School. More recently, she was recruited as the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee Chair for the Lake Washington Human Resource Association. In light of her outstanding accomplishments, Evia has been recognized as one of the Best Places to Work and recently became designated as a Gender Equity Now Certified Company.
