Prior to his current appointment, Dr. Egbuniwe excelled at the University of Phoenix's South Carolina campus as a lead faculty area chair for three years and Webster University's core faculty as an undergraduate coordinator for five years. He also served Expatriate Education and Support Services as a senior consultant between 2009 and 2013. At the inception of his career in 2004, he flourished as a banker with Wachovia bank and Wells Fargo bank until 2011.
In 1979, Dr. Egbuniwe earned a degree in French language, literature, and culture from the University of Burgundy in France (formerly known as the University of Dijon). He continued his edification by enrolling at Southern Wesleyan University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1982. Subsequently, Dr. Egbuniwe attained a Master of Business Administration from the aforementioned university in 2007. In 2012, he concluded his educational ventures by graduating from Argosy University with a Doctor of Business Administration in international business management and marketing.
Throughout his tenure, Dr. Egbuniwe has been honored with several accolades, including the Minority Supplier of the Year Award by the Carolinas Minority Supplier Development Council in 2002 as an entrepreneur for 15 years in Greenville, South Carolina and the South University Scholar for academic contribution award in 2015, among others. Dr. Egbuniwe attributes his success to perseverance, dedication and maintaining a professional decorum. He hopes to establish a consulting company soon and travel more often, all while expanding upon his skillset.
