MILWAUKEE, WI, September 11, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Carter has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

An Omaha native, Dr. Carter has accumulated recognition as one of the first Black pharmacists in the state of Nebraska. A respected practitioner with more than 40 years of expertise to his credit, he relocated to Milwaukee in 1968. He subsequently founded Carter Drug Store, which is currently known as Hayat-Carter Herbal, a subsidiary of Hayat Pharmacy. With the aforementioned pharmacy, Dr. Carter thrives by diligently assisting his customers, who regard his services and establishment as a cornerstone of the community.

As a young adult, Dr. Carter enlisted in the United States Navy and served as a medic during the Korean War. Influenced by his experiences during this time, he returned from Korea and decided to pursue an education in pharmacy. Dr. Carter enrolled at Creighton University, graduating in 1958 with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. In addition to traditional pharmaceutical practices, he is also frequently consulted for his proficiency in the healing properties of herbal remedies.

In 2015, the Medical College of Wisconsin bestowed upon Pharmacist Carter an honorary doctorate. Likewise, the city of Milwaukee celebrated him in 2018 by naming a street after him, the sign remains on display outside of Hayat-Carter Herbal on the corner of N. 24th St. and Burleigh Street. Furthermore, he has published "Healing the Human Body with God's Remedies," a text that advises on the benefits of naturalistic medicine. Dr. Carter plans to continue ministering to his clientele in the foreseeable future.
