Supported by 25 years of expertise in law, Mr. Patti is known as one of Nevada's foremost personal injury attorneys. In 2017, he established D.R. Patti & Associates in Las Vegas, where he represents clients in various areas of law, including personal injury, civil rights, insurance, family law and medical malpractice law. He began his legal career by serving as a law clerk for Nevada District Court Judge Jack Lehman and Nevada Supreme Court Justices Charles E. Springer and E.M. Gunderson. He then co-founded and managed Patti & Sgro, during which time he helped obtain the then largest verdict in a slip and fall case in Nevada. Earlier in his career, he worked in the hotel restaurant industry for many years.
Although his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Patti is especially proud of taking on some of the most challenging cases in the state and obtaining the largest recovery settlement in Nevada history at the time. Over the last several years, he was instrumental in resolving two cases for an excess of $26 million on behalf of his clients. He stays abreast of changes in the legal field through the Nevada Trial Lawyers Association. Additionally, he dedicates himself to those less fortunate by donating to St. Jude Children's Hospital and volunteering with Odessa Children's Hospital in the Ukraine.
Before embarking on his legal journey, Mr. Patti received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Florida and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Southwestern Law School in 1991. Upon graduating with his Doctor of Jurisprudence, he was admitted to practice through the Nevada Supreme Court, the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, all in 1992.
In recognition of his outstanding body of work, Mr. Patti was named a Top 100 Lawyer in Las Vegas from My Vegas Magazine in 2018, and was honored through Martindale-Hubbell for ethical standards and the American Registry in 2019, by whom he also was listed in the Top 5 Percent.
