Having accrued more than three decades of inimitable experience in the field, Dr. Hall has garnered a laudable reputation as a board certified pathologist on behalf of the Pathology Group of Midsouth. Acquired in 1989, shortly after completing his fellowship, he is also affiliated with Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis. Dr. Hall is the former co-medical director of the Baptist Regional Laboratory and the former medical director of the Baptist Regional Laboratory Specialist Technologist School, having served in those capacities between 1991 and 1993.
Outside of his full-time commitments, he is a member of the Heritage Society at Lipscomb University. Dr. Hall was active on the development council for Freed-Hardeman University from 1993 to 2006. He has also long served as a speaker in his field and has contributed numerous scholarly articles to various medical journals. Aligned with several civic organizations, Dr. Hall has been active with the Republican Presidential Task Force in Washington since 1990 and the Heritage Foundation in Washington since 2000. He was formerly involved with the National Taxpayers Union in Washington.
Throughout his journey in medicine, Dr. Hall has enjoyed tracing the origin of disease and making accurate diagnoses to ensure proper treatment for his patients. He has especially enjoyed spending time in the microbiology laboratory arranging human testing for the human papillomavirus. Dr. Hall also deeply enjoyed participating at the hospital as a member of the Institution Review Board between 1991 and 2016 and as a chairperson from 2004 until 2016.
To prepare for his career, Dr. Hall received a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry at David Lipscomb College in 1980 and a Doctor of Medicine, with honors, at the University of Tennessee in 1984. He subsequently completed an internship and residency in pathology at the University of Tennessee, followed by a surgical pathology fellowship at the University of Tennessee Baptist Memorial Hospital. Eminently qualified in his field, Dr. Hall is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology.
To support his professional career in medicine, Dr. Hall has been named as a fellow of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. Other memberships to his credit include the U.S. and Canadian Academy of Pathologists. He is also a past president of the Tennessee Society of Pathologists, where he served in his role for 16 years between 1999 and 2015, as well as the Memphis Society of Pathologists as its president between 1997 and 1999. Additionally, Dr. Hall served as a state commissioner in the Laboratory Accreditation Program of CAP from 2003 to 2007.
