The grandson of a dressmaker and a downline of musicians and politicians in the Philippines, he began his creative journey in fashion design and illustration during the mid-1980s, experiencing considerable success for more than a decade. In 2000, he decided to heave the fashion industry and operate independently as a freelance conceptual and sketch artist in the entertainment advertising industry and for the past 20 years, Mr. deGuzman has worked with a wide range of notable clients, including most studios such as Disney Imagineering, FOX Studios, NBC/Universal, CWTV/Warner Brothers Studios and Paramount
Backed by a Bachelor of Fine Arts in design and visual communication from the University of Santo Tomas in The Philippines, Mr. deGuzman has provided his artistic skills to product advertising in addition to his work in entertainment. Over the years, he has worked freelance at different local shops and companies catering to print advertising in the entertainment industry.
Likewise, Mr. deGuzman has contributed editorial sketches to "Women's Wear Daily" and the California Apparel News Group.
Dedicated to furthering his artistic knowledge, Mr. deGuzman pursued continued education through the Otis College of Art & Design during the 1980s. Outside of his primary responsibilities as an artist, he has dedicated his time and resources to those less fortunate through Feed the Children.
