A Filipino-American artist based in Los Angeles, Mr. deGuzman has harbored an innate love of drawing since his youth. The grandson of a dressmaker, he began his creative journey in fashion design and illustration during the mid-1980s, experiencing considerable success for more than a decade. For the past 25 years, Mr. deGuzman has worked with a wide range of notable clients, including Paramount Pictures, Walt Disney Imagineering Research & Development, Warner Brothers Entertainment, NBC, 20th Century Fox and others on such projects as the movie poster for Alejandro González Iñárritu's award-winning 2014 film "Birdman."
Backed by a Bachelor of Fine Arts in design and visual communication from the University of Santo Tomas in The Philippines, Mr. deGuzman has provided his artistic skills to product advertising in addition to his work in entertainment. Over the years, he has excelled with the likes of New Wave Print, Craig Murray Print, Pulse Advertising and the Canyon Design Group, to name a few. Likewise, Mr. deGuzman has contributed editorial sketches to "Women's Wear Daily" and the California Apparel News Group.
Dedicated to furthering his artistic knowledge, Mr. deGuzman pursued continued education through the Otis College of Art & Design during the 1980s. Outside of his primary responsibilities as an artist, he has dedicated his time and resources to those less fortunate through Feed the Children. Looking toward the future, Mr. deGuzman intends to continue doing what he loves while conducting gallery work and further fostering his love of painting.
