Maso Toussaint Hamilton received the 2020 Distinguished Young Alumnus Award from Angelo State University for his outstanding accomplishments.

Driven to serve his community, Mr. Hamilton pursued a career in law, earning a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from Angelo State University and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Howard University's School of Law. Upon graduating, he became a licensed attorney in the State of Maryland and professionally aligned himself with numerous legal organizations, including the Waring-Mitchell Law Society, Howard County and Maryland State Bar Associations, as well as the local chapter of Toastmasters International.
After graduating with his law degree, Mr. Hamilton gained valuable experience in the field as a legislative policy aide with the City of Baltimore. From there, he spent three years in the Baltimore City State's Attorney's Office serving as an honors law clerk before being elevated to assistant state attorney. In 2019, he joined the Howard County State's Attorney's Office as an assistant state attorney, administering justice on behalf of the citizens of Howard County and the State of Maryland.
Dedicated to providing opportunities for inner-city youth, Mr. Hamilton served as a board member with the Drew League Foundation from 2017 to 2020 where he conferred the Tamara Smiley Hamilton Scholarship upon a young woman from Watts, CA, to assist with her college expenses. During his time in undergraduate school, Mr. Hamilton was voted as the most outstanding student-athlete for Men's Varsity Basketball by his coaches and teammates and was awarded the 44th annual Holland's Award. Mr. Hamilton was also inducted into the Lambda Pi Eta National Honor Society in 2008. More recently, he received the 2020 Distinguished Young Alumnus Award from Angelo State University for his outstanding accomplishments, as well as a feature in Marquis Who's Who in America.
